Stays and upper shrouds
I assume you are referring to the upper shrouds, and the forestay and backstay. I would assume you could replace the forestay and backstay one at a time, but I would replace the upper shrouds as a pair. I would also recommend that you do the stays first, since losing one could wreck the rig, while you might have a better chance of saving it losing one upper. If you really need new rigging, I would try to figure out a way to do them all. You should also check the tangs for cracks, and check the chainplates for hidden corrosion (remove the covers, or better, the whole chainplate). jv
