Greetings...After trailering my H146 to Cape Cod Bay for 2 weeks of great sailing, I realize that I really must replace the very badly designed outhaul bracket (bale) at the end of the boom.In general, it seems that Hunter chose very poor hardware in a variety of places. For a boat that is designed to be easy to rig, why place those infernal and cheap rings with non-captive pins at the shrouds and forestay? If anyone has replaced these components, please share pictures or descriptions of your improvements. The mainsail outhaul line in particular will be shredded with just a few more times out, it seems. While under way, however, we had a blast - she sailed beautifully, and I never felt I was in danger of flipping, even with the rail buried a few times. Thanks all.
