I am replacing the original sail-pac motor mount on my 26.5. But because of the drastic angle almost 45 degrees of the reverse transom, it seems to be requiring a fabricated wedge to make a new one work. Has anyone out there replaced the original mount with one designed for these reverse transoms that will not require the additional wedge added between the transom and the mount. Also raising the mount further up the transom from the original location seems to require an extra long shaft to keep the motor out of the water when tilted and make raising and lowering easier from the stern. Any advice or solutions?
