replacing main

I own an '87 H23 with the Z spar mast. I recently bought a used (but nearly new) main and genny from a guy with the white Kenyon mast. Will I have any problems fitting that main or genny to my mast? The main is loose footed.

yes on the main if it does not have bolt rope

You may have bought a hum dinger of a main as the foot of a 23 mainsail does have to go thru the boom

Dave, There's only a slug at the clew........this and my last main are loose footed. My question regards more if the dimensions of the mains would be the same. ie: luff, leech and foot lengths and mast dimensions. I guess I could lay them both out on the snow but this is so much easier.
