I have a 1986 Legend 45 and am looking to replacing the EasyLock Racing clutches. My search is complicated by not being able to find any information on the current clutches, such as line holding power. Any help would be appreciated (I did a forum search, but was not able to find any information).

A picture would help as there a many different Easylock designs as shown in the rigrite and victory-products links below. I have Lewmar clutches on my Hunter 46 and they have plenty of holding power. You might find the article from myboatgear and practical-sailor on clutches below useful, if you are planning to replace your clutches.

I would be looking for clutches that have the same footprint as the existing - no new holes in the deck. As for size of the clutches that depends on the diameter of line that goes thru it. Usually a clutch will work with several sizes of line and is specified in the specs for the clutch.

I've attached a picture (not of mine, but the same clutches).
The footprint will most likely change as I presently have 8 individual clutches and want to switch to a quad and a triple. I'm using 1/2" lines for the halyards, boom vang, and reefs.
Spinlock, Antal, and Lewmar all provide specs on the performance of their clutches. I can't find that information for EasyLock or Gerhauer (I did send Gerhauer a note asking after that).
