I gotta agree with not having them on my 22... Too small a boat for them. I have them in the cockpit, they run from my full stern pulpit to the rear of the doghouse on both sides. They are high enough to keep you in while heeling, low enough to step over when going forward. There are plenty of stays and shrouds to grab a hold of while going forward to stay on. Honestly, if you are sailing a Catalina 22 in weather that requires full life lines, you are not evaluating risk properly. I equate it to flying a Piper Cub in a hurricane. The 22 is a fair weather boat, plain and simple. When I get my Catalina 27, I will have full life lines on it. But having them on a 22 is like putting them on a Sunfish...
