Anyone have experience replacing Keel bolts? I have a 1990, First 285, and at least one bolt does not have much of a head left (corroded away)... How do I get it out? Where do I get a replacement to put in?
While I haven't had the "pleasure" of having to repair any keel bolts myself as a surveyor I have seen my share of problems with them. Don Casey, who has written several books on boating repair etc, has written some articles on keel boat repair that you might want to look at.
