replacing hoses run thru stringers

Has anyone successfully removed the original bilge pump hose in a 28.5? Seems impossible. Also, anybody removed/replaced the galley fresh water lines? Mine seem to be embedded in epoxy resin or something deep inside the bulkhead or floor stringer. They will not budge and believe me I have tried and tried to get those buggers out.Of course I can find new routes for these hoses, but I am a little frustrated I can't re-use the current routing for these hoses.

Why do you want to replace 'em?

I realize that everthing has a lifespan...just asking, 'cuz fresh water and bilge pump hoses usually have a LONG lifespan.As for how to remove 'em...cut 'em off clean on each side of the stringer, then cut, peel, sand--heat may work..whatever it takes to remove what's stuck in the stringers.

Alas, alas

The bilge pump hose snapped off at the stringer hole in the bilge when I tried to remove my dead bilge pump. Hose had become brittle unfortunately. Bilge hose is routed through more than one stringer in a serpentine path to the thru-hull. I tried pulling the hose through from the thru-hull side. No go. The hose would not budge. I guess I will have to cut a new path to the thru-hull.The galley sink water line(s) are leaking somewhere inside the stringer. They have been leaking since I bought the boat 2 years ago. I managed to get one of them out. Looks like it was pierced by a screw from the cabin sole and may have been leaking since the boat was built. The other water line seems like it's glassed in under there somewhere. It won't come out. There is a constriction in there somewhere which seems only large enough for 2 water lines. So, if I can't remove the old line, I can't run the new one through this stringer. Believe me, I would not have started on this adventure if it were not required!

There is a bright side...

You now have new limber holes that should help to prevent trapped water in your bilge.
