I'm replacing the headstay on my 83' Hunter 34. The original stay is 9/32. I'm told that I should go with a 5/16 for more strength. My question is, by me changing the head stay to 5/16 and all the other standing rigging being 9/32 will this pose a problem when it comes time to tuning the rig back up? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

Seco has the replacement.

Robert: I see no reason that 1/16" would make any difference. I would check with Seco South. They may have made the original rigging. They can make a replacement for you probably cheaper than you can have it made locally.
