I just bought a 1983 C30 and am ready to update the worn out cabin upholstery. After talking to a few people and reading the great ideas on similar on the C27 thread I've decided to buy the fabric and have the work done in Mexico. My question is this; How many yards of fabric will I need to completely redo the interior which includes the V berth, dining area, setee and quarterberth. Thanks in advance.

That's lot of work

I went through this last season with my '84 Cat 30. I looked all around and got prices from a RV upholstery shop, several marine shops and finally sent my old covers to the Catalina factory where they produced new cushions and sent them back. All at a lower cost than any of the others. Only drawback is that they have two colors to choose from.

22 yards of 54" goods

I did mine and this is what it took. This does not include the vinyl backing.

22 yards wow. Just about what the Chargers usually need on 3rd down (just kidding). Well that was about in the neighborhood of my guesstimate but it's nice to have a precise number. Appreciate the input. I thought about the Catalina direct approach but already have my idea as far as what I want in the cabin and, unfortunately, catalina doesn't offer what I want. happt sailing and thanks ron
