Replacement water cooling hoses

My surveyor told me I need to replace the hoses that run from the engine to the water heater. They are 5/8" wire wound rubber hoses, the originals fitted to my Catalina 28 MKII. In the UK, it is very difficult to obtain a direct replacement. There are plenty of rubber hoses, but not wire round. Has anybody fitted standard engine cooling hoses as a replacement -something like

I would be interested to know what other people have used.

Thanks in advance

Regular heater hose.... you dont need the wire wound stuff and it may not be rated for the temps, as wire wound hose rarely carries 180 degree fluids, except for the stuff with a special high temp rating.
The stuff you have installed may not be that special..
