Time to replace the tiller on my Capri 22. Several years ago it started delaminating so I used marine epoxy and some machine screws towards the rear to put it back together. Now the forward part is delaminating. Not going to glue it but rather replace it. What suppliers have folks had good luck with. Thanks. Scott Capri 22 on White Bear Lake MN

I purchased a replacement from Defender (http://www.defender.com/category.jsp?pa ... id=2331344).
West Marine also has basically the same tillers.
Measure the length and drop/rise of your current tiller and try to match it.
Too much higher or lower drop/rise may interfere with the tiller operation.

The tiller I had on #297 and the tiller I have on #427 are solid. Not laminated.

When I obtained my Capri the tiller was a bit worn at the end so I cut off the damaged portion. After a year with a short tiller I purchased a replacement from Catalina Direct. At the time only the Mahogany Ash version was available. Exact fit, well made and no problems to date. More importantl, I would buy it again if ever needed.

Slightly off topic, my tiller extension has seen its last season. Any recommendations for one that fits the Capri 22 at a reasonable price and with ease of use?
