Replacement taps / pullout shower

I'm looking to replace the taps in my bathroom as well as add a salt water faucet to the galley.

Now

I'm a little simple it seems and ordered a faucet with shower head which fits perfectly in the hole in the forward bathroom but the faucet pipes do not fit the fresh water line connectors

Can someone shed some light on this

Did hunter have some strange sizing or did I get the wrong part from perhaps a seller who sold me something that was metric (or imperial) - I haven't measured anything yet just rather stumped.

Is there something specific I should be looking for. I'd rather not spend 200$ on a simple faucet / shower head just because it's 'marine'

Also - can people shed some light on how they added the salt water faucet in their galley, pump size etc etc

Thank you

I replaced my galley faucet with one from Lowes. Mine was a 4" center...
Why would you want a raw water faucet in your galley? Where are you going to get the water? I hope not from the drain though hull valve.

Separate thru hull - I might be mistaken but hopefully Rich or Rick will pipe up as I think one of them has one installed in their 40.5

As for why - to rinse the muck off dirty plates etc before a fresh bath - when we go out we end up with a ton of washing up with all sorts stuck on.

My pump is a 4gpm so it burns water rather fast (something else I may step down)

Many boats have a raw water foot pump or electric pump. When way offshore you can cook with seawater.Or everywhere else you can conserve freshwater by using whatever water you are in for pre-rinsing dishes. On our boat the intake is on the portside of the keel.

Just replaced faucets and shower on my 34. Originally toyed with trying to make standard plumbing fixtures work, but opted to go with RV grade fixtures. They're not the best (plastic) but they fit, work and look fine. Especially for the shower, it's a 5 min. job, if that. 10 mins for me, as I ordered handles without noticing the mount was too close to the bulkhead and had to replace with round.
