Doe anyone know where I can locate a replacement/spare propane tank of the same dimensions which came with the original. There are two cutouts in the locker and the existing tank fits tightly in one of them. I have not been able to locate another tank of the same kind.

Give Worthington a try

On my '95 29.5, I got a spare tank from Worthington (I believe they're located in California). Hunter customer service would have their address. It's probably a good idea to get all the numbers off the tank so Worthington can identify it exactly. The extra tank has come in handy a couple times. I'm tempted to use the extra tank for the barbecue and forget the little screw on bottles, but haven't done it yet. Good Luck, I hope this helps.

Spare Propane Tank

If it's a 5 lb. tank, try just about any RV store. Here in Texas, I found one at Camper World for alot less than the marine places wanted.

propane/tanks on a 29.5

Saw the post regarding propane tanks for a 29.5 Mine is a 96 and to my knowlege there is no storage for the tanks . I wish there were. Where do you guys store the tanks? I use the small screw on type. I keep them in the starboard compartment in the cockpit. I would love to have air tight compartment. I worry a little about the gas getting down in side the cabin and collecting

We're talking about larger propane tanks

My 29.5 has the optional propane stove/oven which uses larger propane tanks than the screw on type which fit in the port sugar scoop stern locker which was vented for propane (2 small 5# tanks fit in there) I keep a couple screw on tanks for the barbecue in there as well.
