My (recently purchased)1984 222 has had little maintenance on her teak, and the slide rails that hold on the cabin lid are deeply cracked. Are there any suitable reproductions/replacements on the market? Where to find? Very limited sailing support in our area. Thanks MB

Rudy may have some made up - try www.odaysailboats.com. Failing that they are not hard to make. You'd need to find someone with a routing table but they're out there. Justin - O'day OWners' Web

any cabinetshop

Any cabinet shop should be able to reproduce the rails, they are pretty simple and have no real difficult cuts. I am a cabinetmaker myself and looked at mine yesterday and found them easy. Most likely any one who has a tablesaw and limited woodworking experence can make them. Teak lumber should be avalable from any hardwood lumber suppler. Jim

Mine came out nice

I am a hack woodworker. I bought some teak and made them all on a table saw. No problem and it just takes patience and care.
