Replacement shower hose

In my 1983 H31, the head has a faucet with an attached shower hose. To activate the shower, you lift up on a diverter. The hose connected to this diverter has a massive hole in it, and I need to replace the hose. My problem: the fitting is 3/4". All the big box stores and RV places only sell hoses with 1/2" fittings. Any suggestions on where to find a hose?

I guess my other alternative is to replace the whole faucet and hose assembly, but I'd rather not do that due to tight access to the plumbing.

Stu is correct. Any stainless hose will work and that adapter can be had at any big box store.

or you could try Home depot or lowes plumbing section. That is where I found mine.

Bill, are you saying you found a hose at HD or Lowes that had 3/4" fittings?

Thanks for the responses, I will investigate an adaptor that is female 3/4" to male 1/2", for use on an easily found hose. I am not fond of adaptors, as every connection is a possible leak source, but this one would only leak when the shower hose is pressurized. That wouldn't be very often, and the head would be getting wet anyway.

Since this is a non-standard size, I suspect this is the original faucet and hose.

with the adaptor can the shower head fit into the assembly? I suppose the shower head sits between hot and cold tap knob.

The attachment point for the hose is indeed between the hot and cold knobs. That attachment is 3/4" male, and since there was a fitting attached to it, I am willing to assume the 3/4" female end of an adaptor will have room to clear the knobs. It doesn't matter if the other end of the new hose is 1/2", as I plan on replacing the shower head as well.

I'd love for this to work, but the fittings are 1/2", and the store personnel tell me that all of their stuff is 1/2":
