is the rubberized canvas fitting at the bow where the hull meets the deck called a bull nose? Marine chandelries in my area look at me like I've got 3 heads when I mention i wish to replace it. How does one go about getting a replacement part for this item? How does one go about repairing this item if a replacement is unavailable?

34 folks have looked at this post and this is the first reply. Perhaps they, like me, are unable to reply because we do not understand what it is that you are describing. Help us. What kind of boat are you referring to? Make, model, year, type, length, etc., for starters. Perhaps someone has the same boat and will be able to answer your questions.

I think I know

I believe I know what you are referring to if it is the molded piece that fits over the bow. If it is I am not sure why Hunter did not make it out of stainless. Mine was pretty bashed up but I was able to fix it using the West System epoxy. Took a bit of time molding and fitting but it almost looks brand new now. Make sure you remove it before you work on it. Hope this helps. Murray

boat type

My boat is a Cal 27 T2 although in my area I have seen a number of these on Catalina 27's. Will try to post a photo within the next week or so.
