I am extremely interested in buying an '84 Hunter 25 that is in very good shape except for the forward hatch and opening ports. The hatch is shot, and must be replaced immediately. The ports still keep water out and let lots of air in, but have aged to the point that you can't see through them. Also, the wife prefers tinted ports for privacy and looks.I did a quick check of the archives and saw references to Bomar/Gray replacement plastic hatches, but don't want to go that route unless I absolutely have to. Thriftymarine.com was also mentioned, but they are apparently kaput. It looks like the Bomar 1000 series aluminum frame hatch is close-- will it work? What others brands will work? I want something heavy duty that my 9 year old and friends can't figure a way to break. Likewise, the Bomar 6 X 14 and 7 X 17 ports look close, as do the Beckson 512 & 714-- will they do the trick? I'm open to all suggestions. Thanks for any help you can give. If all goes well, I'll be switching from a Catalina 25 swingkeel to a H25 deepfin this Friday.Randall
