Hello all! Has any of my Legend 37 folks tried the "New found metals" Tri - matrix ports? If so, what size, and are you happy with the outcome? Or if you've refitted with some other portlights and is happy with the out come I would love to hear from you, thanks.

Replaced them on my hunter 40. The only ones that we could find that would fit with minimal work were the new bomar port lights. We sized beckson and newfound metals but the sizes would not match up. We like the new bomars that were installed.

My boat is a 1986.

I would ask why you are replacing them. Is it due to crazing or water leakage? I have experience with both, and just repaired/resealed mine. Or do you want to put in all new ports?

We had three of them leaking. Two of them leaked really bad and everything we tried did not work. After we had them replaced my wife loved them because she
could see out them. I guess the crazing was worst then we thought also.

I am going through the same project myself. I went with the NFM ports. The admiral liked them the best :) I got the template for them, as there is a little fitting that needs to happen, I used a router with flush cut bit. The through bolting of the ports is very nice. You will need the 410 size. Be careful as the 512 size will not fit the forward most port. It may look like there is enough room, but there is not. I had to measure very very carefully. I put NFM in the old boat and we liked them a lot. They may hold a little water, but no big deal, they look really nice and function very well. Let me know if you have any other questions
