Replacement paddle wheel for Standard model SL10 speed log

My boat is a 1985, but I'm sure they used the same model speed log fora number of years. I tried google search, yahoo search, ebay search.I'm stuck. There isn't even any documentation online although I do havethe owner's manual. Any advice or alternative impellers that would fitthe housing that came with the original? How much do speed impellerwheels cost? Are they sold seperately from the impeller housing?Thanks in advance.Tim

Hi Tim

Have you looked around the used marine stores. I bet Newport,RI has a few shops. They are kind of like antique stores but more interesting:}. See if they are open on St Paddys day. You could have a green beer and shop while the wife and kids watch the parade.I did buy just a paddel wheel from the OEM. I think it was worth about 50 cents but they charged me 10 bucks for it. happy sailing,  Jack
