On our Catalina 34 we just installed a PHC pump to our headmate bowl after reading your recommendation. I wish I had done this change at the first sign of the headmate pump problems instead of rebuilding the pump this spring. This was almost a direct replacement to the Headmate, as no changes to plumbing are required. The pump covers up all but one of the original mounting hole's from the Headmate.
The Admiral says this is the best $250.00 we have spent on the boat. We are also now using less water to flush so our holding tank should go longer betweem pumpouts.
