Hi,

I had to replace the fans of the fridge. The fans are mounted around the heat exchanger of the fridge under the seat. I need to confirm the air direction of the fan the is connected to the exit of the compartiment. Do you know if it should blow or suck the air to the fridge?
Thanks

hey zrod
make sure you check both sides of the heat exchanger as some models have two fans. One on each side.
I don't think the heat exchanger cares and it is easy to reverse the direction once installed by switching the power wires to the fan at the control unit on the compressor. I'd go with sucking from the seat compartment and exhausting into the cabin so you cool the compressor also.

Thank you bill,
In fact mine have two fans, i found it strange that the 2 fans works in opposite directions. Flow direction is as follows: first one, from heat exchange towards comoressor, and the second one from heat exchange towards the cabin. I wonder if this is how they should be.

If you are talking about the two fans on the refrigerator compressor - yes, one blows cool (cabin) air toward the compressor cooling fins and one sucks the warm air away from the compressor and into the space around the compressor. I had to replace mine a few years ago with 12V fans from Radio Shack. I also remove the first (blowing) fan about every 2-3 years to clean lint and dust off the compressor cooling fins.
On my boat (2000 H340) there is a round louver on the side of the settee drawing cabin air toward the compressor through a 3" hose to a hood that mounts over the compressor air intake and contains the first fan.
