Recently I purchased a 1991 Hunter 37.5 Legend. As part of the usual look over everything, I was alerted that most likely the aluminum discharge tank would probably have to be replaced in the near future. It appears that a custom fit will be necessary unless a source is already available. Has anyone located such a source?

37.5 holding tank

Here's the link to a very detailed article in the archives I wrote on this Web site a year ago, which will give you some good options specific to the 37.5's aluminum holding tank. Options in the article cover both a stock replacement tank (Ronco Plastics) and a custom-built poly tank (C. C. Tech). I replaced mine with the custom-built. If you can't get to the article, let me know and I can e-mail it to you directly--my e-mail is bleney@clir.org Good luck and let us know if you have any other questions!

Hey neighbor

George, I am a little hesitant to say anything new about tanks but... It looks like we have the exact same boat and we are just around the corner from each other. Mine is moored at the Village so it is about 5 minutes from you. If you would like to see my project with the fresh water tank, or just compare notes, send me a direct email to 341670@comcast.net I plan to do something to replace my holding tank also but am not sure what way to go. I am considering something in the aft-most lazarette.
