Universal M-25XBP
My '82 C30 was repowered in 2000 with a Universal M-25XPB. It has plenty of power and runs smoothly. It now has about 400 hours on it and I've had no problems. One of the wooden access covers on top of the engine had to be modified with a recess area to accommodate it. It was installed by Hansen Marine near Boston, but I'm sure there are dealers in your area. Good luck. Dave

I put a Universal....
I put a Universal M3-20B in mine and it fit perefectly.. The Yanmar was too tall if I remember correctly..

I have been doing research on this and found that Beta Marine makes a direct drop in replacement complete. This uses the same kubota maine block as the universal and come with the panel and install kit.wwww.betamarinenc.com Happy sailing, John
