I have a 1993 Hunter Legend 35.5. My anchor light draws 0.7A, and I’d like to reduce that by installing an LED at the same time I go up the mast to do some work on the anemometer. Is there a way to determine which bulb I need before going up the mast? I’d rather not make 2 trips up the mast if possible.
Ditto for the deck light and streaming light.

Do you know the make of the fixture a top your mast? It would then be easy to suggest a replacement.

The challenge, I have observed, stock on a boat model is different than the standard stock on a car model. For fixtures like lights and items attached to a hull, the choice has appeared to be what is available and within the price point of the boat, was used to assemble our boats. Then there is the Previous Owner choice when faced with a repair. Through the years products have changed Perko, Sea Dog, Atwood, and AquaSignal etc. have all had their day in the sun.

Thus we boaters are forced to climb our mast and inspect. I know it is not what you wanted to hear, for that I apologize.

If you have a stern light that was provided at the same time the boat was built there is a good chance it's the same bulb. Take an LED up the mast with you that could replace that bulb.
#2 buy a new anchor lamp assembly and replace the old one while you're up the mast, then document.

I'm with @capta on this one. Your old fixture is likely corroded on the inside. You're likely to climb the mast again. It's like putting a new engine in a rust bucket car

You might be better off replacing the light fixtures as well. I found on my 1995 Beneateau that the running light was just a cheap plastic fixture with a bulb that would never stay in properly. Replaced the whole thing with a new LED bulb & fixture no problem. I also replaced all the interior cabin ceiling lights with new LEDs and fixtures. It’s a fairly easy job & helps save that precious battery power.
