I have a Hunter 27' 1977. I recently received the reccomended foward Hatch to replace the existing one from Bomar(model N2092-10A)trapezoidal, and i'm having a problem installing it. The existing opening seems slightly large(1/4"-1/2") on the port-starboard side (the screws don't have enough fiberglass to screw into), this i can deal with. what I can't deal with is the natural curvature of the deck and hatch opening. The new hatch is completlety flat, and without taking off a lot of fiberglass to make the deck flat(which i'm reluctant to do because it's at least a 1/2" curve from one side to the other), the new hatch wont work. did i get the correct hatch? has someone installed this hatch with the same problems? please let me know.
