Hunter had some couple of years ago

If you're talking about the companionway. I think they called them pinboards. Less than a hundred bucks. I didn't buy 'em, just made my own. Mac

do it your self.

Got to agree with Mac, just make a copy of the ones you have out of plywood and seal them with teak oil or varnish and call it good. Or if you want I'll send you a set...but it will not be cheap!!

I bought some from Hunter

...several years ago. They were a bit oversize so I had to trim them, but they fit fine after that. I also used them to make a template, which I just used tocut a couple of one-piece replacements from 1/2-inch ply. It took less than an hour. Once I seal the edges, I'll be good to go. silicone bead in hatchboard track?

i don't have a 23.5, but have a hatch question. we have a leak and just discovered it's most likely the hatch boards and the sliding companionway cover. is it possible to put a bead of silicone in the track where the boards go? and maybe on top of the fiberglass where the sliding companionway cover sits??? any other ideas? thanks!

I made my own

four years ago from closed cell pvc sheet (brand name "Sintra"). It is easy to work with, maintenance free, and shows no UV damage though in the Florida sun this long. I have recently used it to replace the cabin/lazerette bulkhead, as well as replacing the wood core along the gunwale at the hull/deck joint. It won't absorb water, rot, can be fiberglassed in place, painted, and when adhering sections together with a cyanacrylic adhesive such as "Krazy glue" the material will not come apart. I am currently overhauling my boat, and am planning to replace the companionway hatch slides and the wood guides that support the Lexan cabin hatch. It won't replace wood entirely, but I've found it very useful. Mark Major 86H23 "Lesismor"

smoked lexan

There's a guy here in Columbus, Ohio that makes them from Smoked Lexan. It's only 2 pieces instead of the 3 I had before and they let some light shine in which is cool in moonlight. I believe they were about $200.

Thanks

Thanks I did end up building my own out of solid mahogany. It cost me about $45. They turned out great. I used a type of mahogany that is excellent for marine use. I tried refacing the old ones with veneer but as the finish dried, it created bubbles.
