replacement hatch 27. 1978

Has anyone found a replacement hatch for the wierd dimensions of the 1978 hunter 27. The front is 20 inches, the back is 18 and the length is 19. It is not square and Bomar does not make one this size.

bomar does make a replacement hatch, check the photo achives and there is a whole story including the model #. i had a '76 hunter 30 that has the same size hatch. the problem i had is i had an early model which had a fiberglass hatch cover (which i lost, and could not replace). i had to grind down the curved opening and fill with west system for the hatch to work. good luck

The hatch you want is the Bomar 2092. You can order it at pompanette.com. The link below shows you the project in pictures. Many of us (including me) have done the same replacement with excellent results. David Lady Lillie
