Hi Neil, Nice looking cars and I don't know anything about them. When Lyric's system had problems it was the track itself that gave way. Corrosion in the fasteners caused one to let go followed by several more in quick succession. Next thing I new half of the track was sticking up in the air. The fix was Harken 1" track. Interesting note though, The old bronze track looked to be on 3 1/2 in centers for the fastener. The Harken was on 4 inch centers. The fix was easy enough, leave the aft hole open, remove the fasteners from the others and insert epoxy dipped dowels into the holes, (you might want to clean them out with a drill first). You will want the dowels to be a bit countersunk and when done pour a bit of epoxy into each hole. After everything is set up position the trackover the aft hole and run a 1/4" bit through it. Drop a 1/4" fastener through it and start working your way forward while repeating the process. After you are done you need to remove the fasteners and pull up the track again. Apply a sealant and then permanently fasten it back down. Two people required. one for the screwdriver topsides and another with washers, lock nuts and a wrench or ratchet for below decks. Mast rivets are also an area that can let go without much warning. Walt S/V LyricP.S. and now for something completely different. For anyone interested in supersized Vegas you might want to check out Ebay. There is an Albin Singoalia in Florida for $12,000. Looks like a Vega on Steroids. Don't buy without a survey and group input on whats known about the class. If I was in Florida I would be tempted. To:
