Today I had to cut my galley sink hose to remove it. It is the black hose with the wire in it, really heavy duty. We discussed replacing this once before but I forget the outcome. Is it necessary that it be so heavy? I think the ID is two inches. It simply would not come off the thru-hull. The thru-hull is a very large gate valve. It looks like new but is probably original(1979). I suppose I should replace with a seacock but one that large would be very expensive. Do they make a straight thread ball valve that could handle a two inch hose?
