I'm looking to replace the curtains on my 30 Catalina. I've seen some advertised prior but can't find anything currently. Can anyone help? Thanks

I too, have been looking for curtains for our 30 - all I have found online is the following: http://www.odysseysail.com/classic.aspx Original makers of curtains for the Catalina - but they only come in white, and cost $414.00 I'm sure that you (we) can pick a favorite fabric, and have them custom made, which is what we will probably do. Ken

catalinadirect.com. i think they have blinds vs. curtains. someone on another site mentioned buy some fabric blinds from home depot (they are cloth and fold up like an accordian) cutting them to the shape of the window and attaching them with snaps or velcro to the window frame. i haven't had the chance to try it but one 4' blind whould probably handle all 6 windows on the cat 30.

When the curtains in our Catalina 38 began to deteriorate and the hardware corroded, we looked into all the options available in the retail world. We decided that $400+ was way too much to spend on a few yards of material to mount on old nasty hardware and would discolor and need replaceing in a few years. We now have pleated curtains on each window/port. The entire project cost less than $80. I used Redi-Shades pleated shades, plastic batting, double-faced carpet tape, nylon machine screws and wood trim. I can replace the entire set with new shades in about 2 hours for less than $30. The current set is about 1 year old and looks like new. We can open or close each one individually. There are no moving parts or metal to corrode. If You are interested: cat38skip@yahoo.com ....
