Replacement cabin windows

Our new-to-us 1978 O'Day 25 has leaks which we are trouble shooting. Major leak in a rear cabin window. We decided we just need to go ahead and replace all four main cabin windows since PO goobered them up with silicon and they have cracks on the outside trim. DR Marine has them for $299. Need to get these ordered and of course it is Sunday of Memorial day weekend. :cry:

Does anyone know if the $299 included both Port and Starboard windows? So we are looking at $698 for the set of four? I cannot believe they charge $299 for only one window! Also, what is DR typical time to get items shipped? We are in Oregon, so it will take 3 days of shipping time from the MA. Can't put the boat in the water until we get the new windows in and leaks fixed!

Shoot, that's all that's keeping you off the water? I'd duct tape some clear plastic over the leaky deadlight to keep out the rain until you replace the thing.
At any rate, you have my sympathy: I chased a leak all around my lights till it nearly drove me bananas. The opening lights in the head were sieve-like too.
As for Rudy's ship times, he's wasted no time getting stuff out to me. Always comes quickly via UPS.
I can't speak to his pricing, but do know that these things can be several hundred dollars apiece. Would you consider changing the opening size (easier said than done) and buying a non-factory-standard set of lights?

I just had a look at DR's website, and the portlight listing shows P & S, port and starboard. So yes, 299 a pair. Decent price actually.

Don't get upset the 27 has a pair for 378.00. Times 2 plus the two opening ports at 129 each and you have what I spent. For a little over 1000.00 I have all new and worth every penny as the compliments keep pouring in. Rudy is inexpensive and gets the stuff out fast. Wait until you get the package. They will survive a plane crash in the shipping box they will be in. D&R is tops with original Oday parts.

Tabi II launched

Finally had all the deferred maintenance caught up on our new-to-us boat and launched on Sunday. Must say it looks sharp - thank you all for your input/advise on replacement of the trim. Now we will see how it holds up!

So glad we replaced the cabin windows, as we did not truly appreciate how bad the original ones were until we had the beautiful new ones. Opted to wait on replacing the small head windows until we decide if we wan to install opening ones.

Discovered the main sail is missing the batons and a clip, so am taking it to a local sail loft today. Hope to be sailing next weekend.
