Replacemant hatch for a 30 Pearson

Hello, I have a 1973 30ft Pearson. I want to replace the hatch. Should I flatten the crown or build up the area? What I want is a smoked see thru window/hatch. Now I have seen on a 1977 / 1978 Pearson a hatch like the one I want to install.. I also have talked to her owner and he stated that, that was the orginal hatch.. So another question.. if that is so.. where could I pick up a replacement hatch like that.
