Replace Topping Lift

An easy question this time?
My topping lift (original three ply I expect) frayed through last weekend at the masthead sheave.

Will I have any difficulty reaving the replacement line through?
I was thinking of say 5mm braid on braid for ease of handling.

What do people think?

I use standard 6mm braid o braid. Works
well
