My Hunter 31 opening ports are losing the battle with UV. They are PVC and need replacing. Does anyone know where we can get SS ports to replace the original PVC. Also the long port and starboard windows rubber seal is neeing replacement. Where can I find replacements.

Went back with PVC

I replaced my ports on a Hunter 28.5 windows similar or the same as your 31 with PVC. The way I figure it, my 1984 boat is nearly 20 years old...that's a long time for a PVC port. I went to West Marine and bought new windows...unfortunately the windows were not an exact match. I had some minor fiberglassing to do because the new windows did not match the cutout of the old windows. The long window I had new frames and windows built by Mark Plastics in California...I used silicon to seal the window. Mark Plastics 369 East Harrison Street Unit G. Corona, Ca 92879 909-735-7705 He did a nice job. For original port window parts go to www.pompanette.com. You can find replacement windows which will be an exact match for the existing cut outs.

We are doing the same thing.

We just ordered replacement ss ports at the Annapolis boat show. Last year we replaced the rubber gaskets in a few but now want to go the distance with the best. We ordered them through a company called new found metals NFM. The cost is more than PVC but we are having them send us two a month to ease the pain. They had all the sizes we needed. If you want to discuss this further email us at rcolson@cox.net.
