You may get more response by re-phrasing you question. I think you are talking about the continuous in mast furling line which is also called the "Outhaul." In that case, at least on my former boat, I had the line spliced on the boat because it has to go through a stopper and the furling drum. You can probably work around that but on my boat the stopper meant taking down the headliner which I didn't want to do.
