Does anyone have experience replaceing the Uphaul line on the Hunter 240. I purchased my boat used 6 years ago and the line is too large and jams. It looks tricky as it is attached to the top of the Centerboard. My plan is to raise the boat on our Club Winch and approach it from underneath. Is it posible to work on in from under the boat or is there a way to reach it from the cabin?

I believe it's the same system as our 260 and there is plenty posted on these forums and in the knowledge base on dropping the CB and replacing the line. I'd guess that the binding isn't from a line that's too large(and I wouldn't downsize) but from a pin or pivot that's not working well. Make sure you replace it with the highest quality very low stretch line. Either way a service of the whole system will be a good idea.
