I just replaced the bulkheads
and only got one bulkhead out of a 4x8 sheet--the port bulkhead pretty much takes up the entire width of the sheet. You might be able to do it with a ten foot sheet, but not with an 8 footer. It is 1/2 inch--at least that is what I used on my '78. Make up a cardboard template--or shape some strips of cardboard with some heavy sandpaper and then staple them to your existing bulkhead before you remove them so that you have a template.Note, the channels at the top have rounded edges, and the lip at the bottom and the forward part of the setee are also rounded, so you will probably have to grind down those edges to get them to fit.
