A friend of mine ask me if i would help them fix up a Widgeon that they have. The previous owner ripped out the inner fiberglass liner on the transom. I dont know if they were trying to fix a leak or what but they did leave a mess. I was planning on rebuilding it with fiberglass and the west system. My question is was there anything between the two hulls and does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? I have attached a picture for reference. I am going to repaint the inner hull instead of trying to get involved with re gelcoating the repair area.

Any suggestion will be appreciated.

Is that photo from BEFORE the transom "liner" was removed? I don't see anything that looks to have been "ripped" out.

On a separate note, does he still have the brackets that secure the wooden seats to the aft flotation tank/seat? If so, I'd love to get photos of those and a measured sketch. I'm constantly "kicking myself" for not taking pictures and measurements before selling my 1969 WIDGEON, and now I wish I had those pics to include in the Widgeon Owners Manuals that I make.
