I had a repairman look at my SuperColdMachine (refrig) yesterday. I thought the problem was the thermostat because the machine would never shut off and things would freeze. Well, after looking he found that the "Smart box" was fryed and that the machine had a jumper wire put on to keep it running all the time. The "Smart Box" is $430. I said "Howly cow, I thought I could get a new machine for not much more". He said that they cost $2,000 so I agreed for him to order the new part. I got around to looking today and saw that the new machines are only $760 for a CU-200 at defender. It pisses me off that I'm just getting a new card and with labor included, I could have had a whole new machine. ****!!!Just thought you all could learn from my mistake. If my compressor goes out anytime in the next few years then I just threw away $700. I'm a dumbass!!!! but it sure would help if the repairman was honest.

I fell for the old "We'll ship it in a couple days" routine. I ordered a Latex King size mattress for my aft cabin from FoamOrder.com for about $1,000. You would think for that amount they would have shipped it right away, but they kept saying that it will be a couple of days. After three weeks, today I gave up and told them to cancel my order. Tomorrow I'm driving to the north side of town and get a custom Foam cushion for 1/3 the price. All the talk though about Latex foam still has me wondering if it really is worth the price. Shame the place I'm going to tomorrow doesn't have any.It is getting hard these days to get good help.
