So, we're repainting our stripes. Honestly, a lot of work (elbow grease kind) but, I think, coming out nicely.
If you're considering it I would be happy to answer questions.

I just painted my boot stripe too. I just used vinyl for the thin top one. What paint did you use?. Did you roll/tip it? I used 4 coats of good ol' Rustoleum Topside paint. I started with the roll/tip method but found the 4" foam roller did good by itself. Just a little buffing and I'll be good to go. I used Rustoleum since I had good luck with painting my Force 5's hull with it. After a few weeks it cures fairly hard.

I bet the thin one was a pain. I figured if I painted mine it would look like a blind demented circus monkey painted it. I applied my vinyl pinstripe on both sides in 15 minutes and looks good. The factory stripe was vinyl so I wanted to keep it original ;)

I applied vinyl cove stripes and one side looks like a blind demented circus monkey did it. I shouldn't have done it while the boat was floating at the slip!

I figured applying just one strip of tape (vinyl) would look better than me putting down 2 equally spaced strips of edge tape. It would have looked thin....fat...and like and EKG readout. ;)
