I used pine and treated well will last the life of the boat. A few more hours of work and everything will be perfect again. Give a second life to our boat is less expensive than change.

Can you briefly describe how you installed attached the ribbing to the hull.

It be difficult because I'm not bilingual. First, the preparatory work has been the longest. Once the fiber glass clean, I glued the ribbing to the hull with 3M 5200. 3M 5200 below and the sides of the ribbings. The ribbings are not in one piece. To match the shape of the boat, the ribbings are generally in 3 pieces. In my opinion it is impossible to pull the ribbings without breaking the fiberglass. Very solid! I painted the walls before putting my wood. Well, I hope I made it clear.

Very nice, Regis. I see you replaced the fiberglass panel that enclosed the wiring, propane line, and through deck bolts with a wood panel. Did you leave the bottom of the wood panel open or closed? That fiberglass panel has been a pain to remove and replace whenever I had to get to the stuff behind it.

My ports lights is 5x12 Becksons. The wood panel is held in place by 4 bolts. So easy to remove it to work below. There is plenty of space inside for all the stuff and the bottom is closed. Thanks Régis

Thank you for the flowers! On my wood I used a 100% Acrylic Latex interior stain teck color (2 applications by following the instructions) and finally 3 Satin Varnish Waterbased applications SAMAN. Between each application of varnish, sanding very soft. Bye Régis :stirthepot:
