Rendezvous in Southwest B.C.

Today I spoke to Don Brown who owns a Vega, works in Sidney, but
actually lives on Salt Spring. He had not heard of the rendezvous
so I talked it up. He seemed to want more information than I could
give so you might like to give him a call at 653 9559. He is a nice
person to know because he works on fibreglas repair at Blackline in
Canoe Cove.

The vega "Sin Tacha" was in the yard getting bottom painted and also
would be worth contacting if they have not been. I have lost contact
with the owners but he is a ferry officer. Maybe Don Brown could
track them down and mention the rendezvous.

Cannot help in this since we start travelling about 4 hours from now.

Hi All,

"Sin Tacha" (V1331) is owned by AVA members Diana Bichel and Brian
Hart. Since they are on my mailing list and have been sent the
newsletters containing all the info on the rendezvous, it's a pretty
safe bet that they at least know about it. Unfortunately, I do not
have a phone number or an email address for them so I couldn't
contact them to be sure.

Speaking of the newsletter; the latest issue was sent out via USPS
yesterday. (Well it's about time!)

Hope to see you all at Port Browning next week.

Chuck, I dropped my winch handle for the roller furling main over the side Friday. It has a 3/4" square drive and I can't seem to find a replacement. Can anyone in the group give me a name of a manufacturer for the square drive handle?

Hi Chuck, I have contacted Sin Tacha, and they are a ?. They would love to
come, but have made plans to cruise to Desolation Sound on their vacation.
They may surprise us with a visit. My wife, Trish, is willing to drive
your wife to Pender on Friday night on the 7PM sailing or the 8AM sailing
on Saturday, and let us guys sail to Pender on Friday AM. It would fit
into her plans to stay in Victoria on Friday as my daughter is leaving for
Mexico on Friday, and her twin brother is arriving on Friday from Calgary
to look after our house and dog while we are away. Let me know if this
