......how much longer?????

I feel like a kid bugging his parents! But I can't wait to get that boat out of storage. So, any news on the rendez vous? Is the water high enough in Kerr Lake? Did you get my registration? How many boats have registered so far? We are planing to stay for a whole week following the meet. Is anybody else going to stay longer? Any suggestions on where to go on the lake? More folks need to sign up!

I think Dave told me only about five boats signed up to go. If more folks are not interested I cannot see how it would be worth the time and planning effort. Lets all respond and get signed up to go. Kerr Lake is a great place and is one days drive from about 50% of the folks in the USA. This could be a great event if sailors would commit. Maybe we could invite "other brand" sailors too and convert them after we pasted them in the races.

where on Kerr Lake and how do I sign up?

Where will this extravaganza take place at Kerr Lake? How does one register? By the way, the lake has plenty of water now. Its 5 feet above normal.

Last chance to sign up or no rondezvous!

In early January Dave post to contact Cindy at Hunter/JY whose phone is 860-739-3033 or email cindy@jysailboats.com for us to sign up. I understand that less than a half dozen folks signed up. For an event like this to take place the good folks at Hunter are going to have to do a lot of advance planning. I don't think the low sign up justifies all the hard work required. I'm sure if 50 or more boats committed to going Hunter would take notice. But if only a dozen folks sign up we might as well have a private get together at one of the campground/ marinas on Kerr Lake. Kerr Lake is a beautiful place and spring is one of the best times for sailing there. It is one of the few places where your could accomidate parking and launching over a hundred trailer sailors in a day. While Kerr Lake offers safety in its many protected coves it offers a lot of diverse sailing. I've been sailing there for about five years and I barely know the place. I think it is one of the few southeastern fresh water lakes that would justify more than a week long cruise. If you want to do it sign up now! Let's show the folks at Hunter we want to party! Frank
