Back in March 2003, someone mentioned that they had an old parts manual for 1979 Renault RC8D engine. I'm looking for the parts number for my water pump impeller, and for the secondary fuel filter element.I was informed that the filter can be replaced with a FRAM 3110 or NAPA 3137. However, both of these filters are no longer manufactured. Has anyone out there recently purchased a secondary filter element? If so, what did you purchase. Likewise, does anyone know the part number for the water pump impeller from a 1979 Renault?

Mike, I have a parts manual, but a friend of mine is using it to check out the top end. We are attempting to rebuild the Renault. (Some parts were scavenged off the boat before I got it). Question: Do you know if the piston is supposed to have a symmetric, round hole in the top?
