Would love to find someone that has renault rc8d parts or engine running or not. MY has stuck into forward and will not shift into neutral or reverse. Loosened the clutch 3 bolts and still not able to adjust the unit to come out of forward. It runs great in forward of course a little harder to start with it in gear

Try removing the shifting mechanism

There's not much to it. It's basically just a shaft with seals that has a pin that slides the cone clutch back and forth. Check that the pin is still there. Removing the three bolts will let the unit slide out (drain the reversing gear oil first). Here's a shot of the cone clutch. There really is not much that can go wrong with the shifting mechanism.

My previous post was based on the assumption that you manually tried moving the shifting arm at the side of the transmission with the same result. Otherwise the cable and shift lever from the pedestal needs examination.

Yes i disconnected the cable it is jammed will not move in any direction it is just all the way forward. I loosened the 3 bolts to try to adjust the linkage forward reverse no luck. taking it out of boat tonight and bring motor home to fix and change a few seals
