I need a starter and possibly other parts for my Renault 8 horsepower engine for my 1980 H-27. I'm frustrated with searching the net for results (I'm not getting any). I would love some advice and/or links! Also, are there any salvage yards I should know about? Thank you in advance!  Scott

Find a foreign car parts place. There is an aftermarket starter that will fit. I will see if I can get the name off mine. I have had luck with the guy in europe for impellors and zincs. His link is in the archives. Only downfall is sending cash through the mail. Had to have a new exhust elbow made at machine shop 100.00 New water pump cost me 500.00. fitting a jasbco cost about the same

The Renault marine division was taken over by Nanni diesel in the mid-80s. Check out this web site:http://www.waterwaymarine.com/about getting parts. They are located in Maryland. You can also check out the various Nanni locations worldwide. The one in Wales had parts the last time I was looking for them. Good luckDan
