i have an old boat made sometime in the 70's or even before, It was my grandpa's bough second hand so there is no real info on what type of boat it is. A tag witch is mostly worn away on the stern reads illinois but that is all that is left of the tag. The boat looks like a small scow about 15ft in length with a jib and a mast thats about 25ft unlike some scows it only has one centerboard and a small metal rudder. If anyone knows what typed of boat it may be let me know. Last time it was taken out one of the sidestays was pulled out with a chunk of fiberglass. Im am curious to how i should go about fixing the problem. A porthole or not? Fix the other stays so they dont break? How do i fiberglass it in? i appriciate any advice thanks
