Anyone know of a good way to remove old, oxidized wax that has built up? Thanks.

Poli Prep

The makers of Poly Glow make a product called Poly Prep. It is a concentrate that sparays on and you scrub off with a scrubby tool provided separately. You can visit the website at http://www.poliglowproducts.com/ Ken Palmer, S/V Watercolors

ON/OFF

Available at West marine. It is a mild acid and really takes off just about anything including stains and rust. You brush it on and hose it off.

Ammonia!

Bill: Good ol' ammonia should do the job. Also you can use the Island Girl Pink and some synthetic wool. This does an excellent job of conditioning and cleaning the gel coat.
