Removing the sink peninsula in a newer C30 with the "corian" counter top.

I need to do some engine work and redo the exhaust hose. I am thinking it would all be easier if I could remove the peninsula furniture.

Unlike the older formica topped counters, the "corian" doesn't appear to have a seam anywhere.

Is it possible to remove it? Cut it? or do I have to do this work crouched under the damn counter.

I've been curious about this as well. The countertop is glued to the cabinetry. Because it wraps all the way around, I imagine it'll be less work to work on the engine with it in place.
